Last chance to party!

no responses · Blog Can you imagine growing up without Halloween? Wouldn’t that be just horrific? I confess I have never experinced one until I came to North America. But there was special time when we got to put on costumes. I am not talking about raiding my mom’s closet and putting on her crocheted dresses from the 70’s and prancing around our bedroom with my sisters. No, I am talking about Fashing, the last party before Lent, the last chance for shenadigans before you have to stay good for 40 days! Sheeesh!
But since the communists didn’t want us to think that Fashing had anything to do with religion, we got to have carnivals in the kindergarden just because.
Today is the last day of Fashing and so I would like to share some pictures from a Halloween party. This is NOT the Silver Snail party! Those are on my website and more comming soon! It’s just a buch of crazies having jolly good time!
To set the mood, we decorated. There was also a lot of spiders and dry ice!
Anna was doing everybody’s make-up while munching on their brains. Mmmm brains…
There were some gay characters too, like Ace here.
Some people were getting touched in places they didn’t aprove, makes for a good party!
